Our Thanksgiving weekend was GREAT! Everyone from Andy’s family was here for the weekend except for his parents, and all of my family was here too. We didn’t get to see much of my family, but what we did see of them was fun.
All of the out of towners rolled into Blanding Wednesday night. On Thursday we all got up bright and early and got busy. All of the guys went and started working on our house, even though it was really rainy all day, and the girls started preparing food for Thanksgiving dinner. It was so fun to get to hang out with everyone. The guys came in around noon to get clean up and help with what preparations were left to get dinner ready. We had a really fun Thanksgiving. The boys entertained themselves with arm wrestles and full on body wrestling, they even made Brielle and I arm wrestle (we tied). Other than that we just visited and stuffed ourselves with yummy food and great dessert. Later that evening Steve and Shauna put together our annual Christmas Eve program early so they could get it recorded and in the mail to Mom and Dad.
The rest of the weekend was full of lots and lots of work. The guys would head out each morning around 8 to start working on our house and come in after dark each evening. We got all of the family together each night for dinner and more visiting. On Friday night Kerry, Shauna, Jody, my niece Brielle, my sister Amber, Chelsa and I all went to the movie Twilight. It was a way fun girls night.
We were able to get our basement (Andy’s shop) framed in, and the floor on for the main level and most of the main level walls. We were very pleased with all the work we were able to get done over the weekend. We are so thankful for all of the help from everyone!
Who helped on the house: Andy’s brothers and families – Dave, Aaron, & Jared Black, Steve, Taylor, Derek, & Kade Francom, Steve Black, James Sherwood, Tony Black, Kenny Black, My Dad and brother Jeff, & Randy Pemberton. Thanks Guys!!!!
