Christmas 2012

We started out our Christmas celebration first by going to a yummy breakfast at our friend's the Millward's house, and then by heading out on the snowmobiles to play!  It was snowing and freezing cold but we all had a blast.  Except for when the snowmobile Andy was on ran out of gas and we had to tow it back to the truck with the other one.  But other than that it was so fun, and it was just our little family which made it even better!  We decided to start the tradition of going out and doing something fun on Christmas Eve, like playing in the snow if there is some :)

This makes my heart happy to see my older little guy helping out my younger little guy :)

That night when we got home we headed over to Andy's parents house for Christmas Eve dinner, which was delicious of course!  The kids danced and played, and had a great time.  And then the kids did the nativity.  Stetson and Lucy were Mary and Joseph, with little baby Lydia as baby Jesus.  It was so sweet.  My guys were both shepherds.  Then we headed home to finish up some Christmas Eve activities with just our family.

I decided to make the kids some Christmas jammies this year.  I'm so happy with how they turned out!!  They even have a matching blanket that goes with them.  After we put some cookies and milk out for Santa, it was time for bed!

HE CAME!!!  Christmas morning was way fun!  The kids loved opening their presents.  Half way through we decided to take a break and eat breakfast.  The kids were starting to get grumpy so we decided they needed to eat, since they get super naughty when they are hungry.  I had made some overnight monkey bread the night before that turned out really yummy, and Andy made some eggs to go with it.

I can't remember everything they got, so here is a few items:
Dodger's Loot:  Keyboard, Bow and Arrow, clothes, shoes, Mickey Mouse lunch box, Harmonica, Hat & gloves and Talking Mickey Mouse from G & G Black
Bronx's Loot:  Rubberband gun (made by Andy), Clothes,The Lorax movie, Big stuffed Mickey Mouse, Monster Truck, Mickey Mouse Hat & Gloves from G & G Black
Both: Tent and tunnel from Santa, Car Race thing from Grandpa Johnson & Grandma Billie

I feel like I'm not very good at the present giving thing.  It seems like every year Dodger is disappointed, maybe he's just spoiled too much during the rest of the year!
After we played with our new toys for a while and went around to see what all of the cousins got, we loaded up and went to my Dad's house for a yummy Christmas dinner and visiting.

Later on in the week we had the real Black Family Christmas Party.  We all met up at the farm and brought our snow gear and toys and played in the snow and went snowmobiling.  We had lots of fun, got a little cold, but still had fun.

After we all came home and warmed up a little we headed over to Andy's parents for another yummy dinner, and to have our Christmas program.  Dodger was really excited this year to sing Mary Had a Little Lamb.  He did awesome!!  He loves to sing and dance, and everything about music.  Then the kids danced around for a while, and then the big fun... the PINATA!!

Our holiday season was cram packed with lots of family and fun, and we loved it!
