Sad Day

Andy's grandpa Black was an AWESOME bull dozer operator. He built so many reservoirs and dams around town with it, he even helped build the water tunnel through the mountain. When he passed away he left behind the bull dozer and it has been a blessing to be able to have access to that piece of equipment to work on different projects. The other day Andy got a phone call from Kenny telling him that the bull dozer was on fire up at Devil's Canyon. Andy just kind of thought that it wouldn't be too bad and that they would be able to replace the burnt parts and all would be good. So we decided to go up and see what was going on check things out. Well when we got there this is what we found. There is no fixing it and since it is such a heavy piece of machinery there really isn't any way to get it out so, there it will probably sit forever. They were working on putting a power line in up at Devil's Canyon and they were using the dozer to clear the land, well it was really old and I guess it just decided to have it's last day.

I like to call this picture "CRAP!!"

The Monticello fire department came to put it out. It was located almost at the back of the property and they couldn't find it so they were kind of just driving around, but luckily Kenny was on his way out there and heard on his scanner that they were looking for a dozer that was on fire so he hurried out there and drove them to it. There was another fire on the mountain and they were bringing water to it by helicopter and one of the helicopters is actually what spotted our little fire and called it in. Luckily they did or things could have been a lot worse.
