Bar D

We had a list of things we wanted to do this summer, and as summer's usually go, we were super busy and we weren't able to do hardly any of the things we had planned. But with only about a week and a half left of summer we decided to try and do at least one of the things and headed over to Durango to go to the Bar D. We love this place and have been going together since we were in high school. We haven't been back though since we've been married and we really wanted to bring the kids over and let them ride the train. We invited my dad and Billie to come with us but Billie was already going up north with her sister, but luckily my dad still wanted to come with us. We were so happy, and so were the boys. They love their Grandpa Johnson! We made sure and got there extra early so we could go look around the shops, and play by the waterfall and of course ride the train. It also didn't hurt that we were one of the first ones to get to the high chairs, since we needed 2 of them. Both boys ate most of Andy's dinner, so it's nice that you can usually get seconds. The show was so funny this night. I ended up having to watch most of it from out by the shops since Bronx was being too noisy. He wasn't crying he was just talking, but when everyone around you is trying to watch a show it's not good. Dodger did really good though, Andy never ended up having to take him out. The show ended at about 9:45, and after getting the kids into their jammies we headed home. They were both asleep before we were out of Durango. And of course we had to stop at Wal-Mart on our way home. We were there so late! I felt bad about having to wake the kids up, but they fell asleep really fast once we got in the car again.

He was so excited while he waited for the train.

Riding the train

Dodger wanted to sit on Grandpa's lap.
