Our New Adventure

Since last Thanksgiving Andy and I have been talking about selling snow cones. We finally decided to go for it and while we were up North for Andy's training we bought all of our equipment so we could sell on the 24th in Monticello. We got home Friday night around
1 am and still had to get everything ready so we could be over to Monticello in the Morning by about 8:30 to set up. We had never set up before so we didn't know how long it was going to take us. Luckily we had done most of our prep work at Jody's house and made all of our syrups and filled the bottles so when we got home on Friday night we didn't have to do that. So in the morning we just had to wake up get ready do all of the final touches and head out. Luckily our kids have awesome grandparents that love to watch them and were nice enough to come over to our house so we didn't have to wake them up in the morning and they were able to sleep in. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Black!

Here we are all set up and ready to sell!

We had so much fun! We had a steady line the whole time and didn't get home until about 5:30. And as an extra bonus, our kids did awesome with grandma and grandpa, even Bronx!

We also sold at the fair this year. We were there 5 days, and by the end of the 5th day we were very ready to be done.

Suzie watched our kids for us the first Thursday and Friday nights, and then the next week on Thursday Andy's parents watched them again. On Friday and Saturday mornings we took them with us and set up the pack-n-play and let Dodger just run around. At about 2 on Thursday Andy's parents came and got them and took them to Devil's Canyon so they could have naps and dinner. Then on Saturday they came over at about 11:30 and just hung out with them at the fair. It worked pretty good for us, but I feel bad that Andy's parents had them so much, my kids are a lot of work! On Saturday we decided to give away free sno cones from 11:30-noon. This was so fun. The kids loved it, and I'm sure they parents liked it too. We ended up giving away 105!

We're going to set up in Blanding a few times before it gets cold, so look for us and come try a sno cone!

Alicia,
Please call me when you set up in Blanding. I would love to bring my kids to get a snow cone. We've only gotten one this whole summer!

And may I just say . . . you guys make the best snow cones! Just ask any member of my family - they were all talking about it! Thanks for the snow cones!
